Dr. Brennan Nelson

Dr. Brennan Nelson was born and raised in Sherwood Park, Alberta. After acquiring the necessary credits from the University of Alberta, Dr. Nelson was accepted into the Optometry Program at Nova Southeastern University, located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Nelson attended the world-renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, where he was located for his externships during his final year of Optometry school.

During his time spent at Bascom Palmer, he was exposed to various clinics, such as Neuro-Ophthalmology, Glaucoma, Corneal Disease, Pediatrics, Uveitis, Retinal Care, and Primary Care. It was during his pediatrics rotation, that Dr. Nelson discovered his passion for Vision Therapy. Having been exposed to various conditions that affect learning, reading and writing, as well as improving his patients' overall quality of life, lit a fire for Dr. Nelson to help others through Vision Therapy. Viewing his patients' Vision Therapy successes, and the concomitant quality of life improvements motivates Dr. Nelson to provide patients with the proper tools needed to overcome these visual obstacles.

By seeing various cases, Dr. Nelson continues to provide Edmonton and area with Vision Therapy programs, as it is a truly rewarding experience! Whether it’s a young child with binocular vision issues affecting school performance, an athlete trying to develop a visual edge on the competition or a post-concussion/ post-stroke individual, Dr. Nelson looks forward to working hard with you to improve your symptoms and quality of life! Outside of the clinic, Dr. Nelson enjoys playing sports such as hockey and baseball, fishing, and spending time with his family.
