Dr. Sindy Tromposch

Dr. Tromposch finds the most rewarding part of her job is to address her patient’s vision concerns, helping them see clearly, and to educate them on different treatment options.

She received her BSc from the University of Alberta in 1981 and her doctorate in optometry in 1985. Her special interests have evolved over the years. She has worked in the areas of vision therapy and sports vision. Her special interests now involve scleral contact lenses, treatment of dry eye disease, and family practice.

Dr. Tromposch has volunteered her time on the competency board and has been an investigator for the College of Optometry. She also works as a consultant both for Health Canada and Blue Cross on optometric matters.

Fitness is a big part of her life. She enjoys cycling, golfing, and going to the gym. Gardening is also a passion. She has volunteered her time officiating sprint canoe and kayak events both at a provincial and national level.
