Dr. Brennan Nelson was born and raised in Sherwood Park, Alberta. After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Alberta, he was accepted into the Optometry Program at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. During his final year, Dr. Nelson completed externships at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, where he gained invaluable clinical experience.
At Bascom Palmer, Dr. Nelson rotated through various specialized clinics, including Neuro-Ophthalmology, Glaucoma, Corneal Disease, Pediatrics, Uveitis, Retinal Care, and Primary Care. It was during his pediatric rotation that he discovered his passion for Vision Therapy. Witnessing firsthand how vision therapy could improve learning, reading, writing, and overall quality of life sparked his commitment to this field. Helping patients overcome visual challenges and seeing the positive impact on their lives continues to drive his dedication to Vision Therapy.
Dr. Nelson now provides Vision Therapy programs in Edmonton and surrounding areas. Whether it’s a child struggling with binocular vision issues affecting their school performance, an athlete seeking a competitive visual edge, or someone recovering from a concussion or stroke, Dr. Nelson is passionate about helping his patients overcome their symptoms and enhance their quality of life.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Nelson enjoys playing hockey and baseball, fishing, and spending time with his family.
